Make your own snack

As I was looking around for stuff to include in our 3 Pigs unit, I stumbled across two different websites that feature pictorial recipes for making snacks (actually a variety of meals) for kids. I've been wanting to do this for a long time but just got overwhelmed by the hugeness of the project and here someone else has done it for me! So now the boys can grab a recipe, get the ingredients and start making snacks (mostly) by themselves! The recipes on the kids-cooking site are also mostly healthy, which is something very rare and hard to find! The makinglearningfun recipes go with themes and make no attempt to be healthy, just fun.

Making apple/peanut butter wraps
Mr. T decided NOT to follow the recipe and put more than 3 apple slices in his wrap. Then he discovered he couldn't wrap or hold it. Good lesson to learn!
Sunflowers!
This snack was called Cat's Eyes and we practiced counting by twos with it.
