The 3 Bears: bear face snack

The second "unit" we did was on the fairy tale The 3 Bears. One of the snacks we made during this unity was bear faces out of bread and fruit. It looked a lot more like a pig than a bear in the end (mostly because I was sort of developing the idea as we made the snack) but the process was pretty fun and involved cutting skills, spacial skills (making the actual face) and it tasted great!

I gave them each 2 circles of bread. One they had to cut in half for the ears.
They had to arrange the ears and then spread peanut butter on the face so that the parts of the face would stick.
We used a round of a banana for the nose, which really made it look more like a pig. The boys thought that was hilarious.
Finished product!
Finished product! I think I had O Boy trim his ears a bit to see if we could get it to look more like a bear...with dubious results.
Obviously the way you get your picture taken in this family is to tip your head to the side.
