We got an extremely prickly tree this year, partly because we found one we liked and also because it's a great baby deterrent tree. Once you touch a spruce, you don't need mom or dad to tell you not to touch it again. So taking all the lights and ornaments off (and putting them on) can be a pretty painful experience. O Boy was pretty sure he had discovered the perfect equipment to help out with the job of removing our dozen strings of lights: socks on the hands, construction hat on the head, exercise band (tool belt) around the waist. Mr. T went the bit more realistic route with snow gloves.
