Spring gardening

All done!

I have to admit, I took a picture of T doing this same exact thing about a year ago. So when I saw O doing it, I was duty-bound to take his picture too!

More playgroup fun...courtesy of Paula Deen

Here are pics of what was perhaps the most popular playgroup activity so far: making Paula Deen's famous cheese biscuits. This is a tremendously fun and messy activity to do with toddlers.
Here's the recipe for any who are interested:
Paula Deen’s Cheese Biscuits
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp sugar
½ of 1/3 cup shortening!
2-3 handfuls of cheese
½ c buttermilk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until it resembles cornmeal. Add cheese. Stir in buttermilk all at once just until blended. Do not overstir.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a well-greased baking sheet. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

The Lady and (Grand)sons

(Anyone who is a fan of Paula Deen will understand the above title.)

Good to know that something as simple as the cracking of an egg can inspire such awe in them. Who needs Disneyland?

Beach fun!

I was trying to get the boys to walk around a bit more on the mud flats - they were pretty hesitant. So I hid behind this big rock and they came running! Anything for a game of hide and seek...!

In this series of pictures we caught T showing O how much fun it is to have mud smeared on your legs...

And your face...

He's just not seeing the humor in this!

I'd recommend clicking on this one to enlarge it and see the hilarious expression on T's face.

More pictures from Grammy Wilson's visit...a few months ago!

Therapy can be fun

Here's one of T's absolute favorite things to do with his physical therapist - get pulled at breakneck speed around the small mall where she has her office. It's a good workout for everyone!
